BOOB BLOCKERS-Nursing Shawls

These are different fabrics that I used to make four different Boob Blockers (nursing shawls). The two pink and brown ones were made for ladies who were having girls and the other two could be used for either gender of baby. I really like the crazy brown and orange circle one.

Diaper Cake

The above Diaper Cake was made for a baby girl shower. It is a four layer/large cake with a total of 122 diapers made with Huggies size 1 & 2. For decoration on the cake I added pink burb cloths, cute little ballerina sox's and at the top a pink poodle toy that can be attached to a car seat.

Above is a sample of invitations that I created and made for a baby girl shower. The baby's name meant princess so I used Princess paper in the rattle and of course added "It's a girl" ribbon on the corners.

Santa Baby

Had a little time to scrapbook. I had fun with this page even though it took me all day to complete it but it was worth it. I even got to use my new Cricket stuff.

Boob Blockers

No this is not something bad or wrong it is the name for a nursing shawl. While I was going through my maternity stage, I saw for the first time a nursing shawl that made it so you can see your baby while you nurse. I immediately wanted one for myself. So I set out to buy one, only to find that they were at least $35. What? I said to myself. But I was in need of one for the weekend. I ended up spending the $35 and buying it. I absolute loved it and don't regret buying it.
However after looking over it with my very talented mother, we figured out how to make our own. A few friends of mine are now pregnant and so I decided to create my own version to give them as gifts. For only a half a days work and a few $ less we finished our first one. It looks really good, if I do say so myself!

The "WRAP"

Again I have been looking at baby carriers. I am trying to find something that I can wear, hold the baby, get stuff done and not have my back hurt(to much). So I looked around and found a interesting contraption on eBay. It was $35 on one website and $45 on another. WOW! So, me being me and thinking "I can make this" I googled it and found the official website for this "wrap" like carrier. Then I spend a good half day or more searching the Internet to figure out how to make one. It ended up being a lot easier then I originally planned.

Obviously I have one now(see pic). Needless to say it didn't cost me nearly as much as they were asking for on those website. Got to love saving money! I even found a great website that shows you with pictures how to wrap up the baby, www.wearyourbaby.com is a good source. I also looked on YouTube and found some good videos showing the different ways to wrap.

Scrap page-baby boy

I actually got some time to scrapbook, thanks to mom helping me hold the little one. I spend a good amount of time trying to decide what I wanted to do for this page. After much deliberation and a few hours of rearranging the pictures I finished the page. See for your self how it turned out.

Baby Sling

I have seen many differnt types of carriers, and tried a few myself. All of them say that they are the best ones out there. So I searched and search on the internet until I found a website that tells how to make one. With the help of my loving mother a sling was created. This is it!
